Oranges - Vitamin C Range

I must confess I’m a bit of a BodyShop addict – great products without the nasty production line not to mention friendly staff makes it probably my most visited store :)

So obviously when they brought out their new Vitamin C range I was at the front of the queue with my ‘love your body card’ (I’ll do a post on this card soon because I seriously think every make up addict should have one!)
-you can see their whole range HERE- The whole range is designed for dull skin that’s in need of a little pampering, with the aim being radiant skin!

I didn’t have a clue what to try first so I opted for the £20 facial radiance program
It’s basically three small sized products out of the range:

The Vitamin C Microdermabrasion which you use after cleansing-
Review:
It’s designed to be used once a week according to the BodyShop for ‘a professional spa-inspired exfoliating facial’. Full of Amazonian camu camu berry (known to have one of the highest contents of vitamin C in nature), garnet particles and Community Trade shea butter it sounds perfect for my skin right now!

I’ve only used this three times as it isn’t meant to be used daily and it’s a good scrub – I mean it matches up to my St Ive’s one easily, it smells yummy(all the products smell of oranges) It is pretty intense and maybe not suitable for the faint hearted as it’s packed full of little beads but I love it & it lived up to it’s claims of ‘smoothing dry, dull skin creating a refreshed complexion’

The Vitamin C Radiance mix which is meant to improve skin tone and texture.
Review:
Ok, this is what I was really excited about – that may be because I felt like a was mixing my own concoction… but anyway, you mix the powder with the liquid and shake to create a 5% vitamin C concentrate serum. (you get a little instruction manual =])

And obviously I followed it perfectly :)
This is what I think actually made the difference to my skin, it’s just a watery consistency and smells pretty strongly but I’m 80% sure this is what made my skin glow
The only negative with it is you have to use this within ten days. The life cycle is what put me off buying this on it’s own however I can’t imagine this being good to sue very day for months on end, it’s designed to be more of a ‘pick-me-up’ every so often.

And The Vitamin C Skin Reviver
Review:
I was really interested in this as it’s meant to be really good as both a primer under make up and to wear alone – it’s also been branded the BodyShop’s ‘favourite Vitamin C product’! it’s designed to deliver ‘Instant smoothing radiance with a silky smooth finish; an ideal skin pick-me-up to enhance your glow.’

It’s full of all the same good stuff as the radiance mix but it comes in a thick ‘gel’ formula with tiny little 'light reflective particles'.
The first time I used this I fell in love. It’s extremely similar to GOSH’s velvet touch primer, an almost identical consistency and it leave your skin feeling all velvet-y and smooth(the BodyShop’s normal primer is an amazing dupe for GOSH’s) I only noticed 3 differences between the two products:
1. the light reflective particles do give you a bit of a glow – I think this is going to be amazing as he weather gets cooler and skin starts to lose it’s glowy summer radiance.
2. it smells, GOSH’s primer and the BodyShop’s matte it primer are both scentless and normally I like that but… I kinda like my face smelling of oranges
3. and finally it seems to apply a lot easier than GOSH’s in the sense that you don’t get little balls of product if you apply it under a foundation

Will I repurchase? Well the primer and the Microdermabrasion I still have lots and lots left but I’d recommend trying them out, however I’ll definitely repurchase the radiance mixture! But I’ll only use every few months as a ‘treat’ for my skin.
